Christmas Hamper Appeal
Every Christmas we look to help families who are facing financial difficulty by providing them with ‘a luxury Christmas dinner in a box’. The hamper includes packs of everything a family needs to enjoy a Christmas meal together (see items below) and a voucher to cover the cost of perishable meat and vegetables. Our volunteers then meet to beautifully pack the hampers and arrange for them to be delivered to those most in need via our local partner organisations. Our aim is not just to meet a physical need, but also to communicate love and worth to the families at this special time of year.
For our Christmas Hamper appeal in December 2018 we were able to give out over 350 hampers to families across Norwich and Ipswich. A person who received a hamper said, “I can’t believe it, you have given us Christmas. I found out today that my benefits have stopped until after Christmas. All of my cupboards are empty.” We were able to provide them with a luxury Christmas meal and all the trimmings. So thank you to everyone who made donations to the appeal.

Can your school get involved?
We often work with schools and workplaces who would like to donate items for the hampers. If your school or workplace would like to get involved then please contact us for a pack that will give you and your colleagues the information you need about the appeal.
Take a look at this video, showing the hamper experience from one school in the last few years.
Help and guidance is offered to schools every step of the way – running the hamper appeal in your school is really easy.
